The Purple Pixy ...
A Ballet Costume,
still evolving!
I actually have quite a few Purple Pixie outfits, because its my second most favorite color!
This was my first try. The pants are just stretchy jeans (not even tights), but the top has some cool details. Lots of buttons, little wing-like points on the shoulders, and a cute little tassel tie in the back.
can you guess what I'm 'flying' into?

It was OK, but first I wanted to remake the top with a better stretch velvet top, without all those buttons to deal with.
It's kind of like a short boi dress. I think that's OK. After all, once it wasn't even OK for girls to wear pants. Times change!

Then I decided to make matching shorts, and I found a near-purple beret hat to go with it.
Finally I sketched my idea and gave it to the same folks who created the Authentic Blue Boy for me. They made me this new version, which is almost like a space fairy!
I'm not super crazy about tight hats like this, as they give me a horrendous case of 'hat hair'. But it is cute the way the hat points match points in the top!
Well I had to take at least a few flying 'POSE' shots. It is, after all, a 'Pixie' outfit, so...
It's quite a sweet looking ballet costume at this point I think! A little WARM for Summer in Florida, but good for our cooler months!
